Floydian Slips is currently in “recess”. Differences in opinion among band members in 2010 led to the dismantling of the Band. Watch Floydian Slips live in 2010 here. Currently Alan Day and Paul Tizzard are hoping to pick up the full band format sometime in the future. During the meantime, Alan Day will be performing his one man show “Pink Floyd - a Singular History” at various small venues in and around Cape Town. This show has a similar format to the earlier intimate “Floydian Slips” shows performed at the Grahamstown Festival in 2002. Alan now plays simply with Solo Electric and Acoustic Guitars. Being more of a “History” than a “Greatest Hits” show, the new repertoire contains several songs not publicly performed by Floydian Slips in the past, including material from “Piper at the Gates of Dawn”, Ummagumma”, “The Final Cut” and “Atom Heart Mother” as well as some “Solo Floyd” songs. Many well loved “Hits” are of course “Historical” and new arrangements of these are also included in Alan’s new show.
